A/Prof. Yaw Chin is a Radiation Oncologist with over 15 years’ of experience in the treatment of cancer.

He graduated from the University of NSW in 1997 and obtained his fellowship in Radiation Oncology in 2004. He was then selected as the Windeyer Fellow of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR), where he undertook specific training in prostate brachytherapy at the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre in London.

In 2006, he returned to Sydney to work at St. George Hospital as a staff specialist. He has a passion for education and training, having served initially as Director of Training of St. George Hospital, then Training Network Director of the Southern NSW/ACT Training Network and now as Chief Censor in Radiation Oncology for the RANZCR.

A/Prof. Chin has published in multiple national and international peer-reviewed journals with his main research interests focusing on breast cancer, early lung cancer, and communication skills training for radiation oncology.

A/Prof. Chin joined the GenesisCare team at Hurstville in 2015 and continues his commitment to deliver high quality, evidence-based care to his patients and their families.
