About us
Leading the way in cancer care since 1988
Established in 1988, the Wesley Centre was Queensland’s first privately run radiation oncology practice. With over three decades of experience, we have a proud legacy of pioneering modern treatment techniques and technologies in cancer care.
We were the first in Queensland to introduce high-dose rate brachytherapy, remote afterloading brachytherapy, and stereotactic radiation therapy - innovations that have shaped the standard of care across the state. Today, all nine of our centres continue this tradition by offering stereotactic radiation therapy as a standard option.
Our commitment is to ensure that patients in regional Queensland receive the same high-quality care as those in metropolitan areas. We bring modern radiation therapy closer to home, so you don’t have to choose between proximity and excellence in care.
For our Brisbane patients, we offer a unique survivorship program led by a nurse practitioner with a clinical interest in post-treatment wellness. This consultation, available after your initial appointment, not only supports your recovery but also contributes to important clinical research aimed at improving cancer care outcomes.
