Eligibility criteria

To be considered for the study you must meet the following criteria:

  • Aged 18 years or older
  • Unable to undertake open heart surgery
  • New York Heart Association Class II, III or IV

Study details

Your participation in this study would be for approximately 10 years.

You will be required to have an initial assessment which will include screening tests such as physical exam, blood test, echocardiogram, 6 minute walk test, ECG, CT scan, coronary and aortic angiogram.

If eligible, you will then need to undergo a procedure to have a valve inserted and stay in hospital for up to 2-3 days. Upon discharge, you will then be followed up in clinic 30-day post implant and then followed up annually for us to 10 years.

You will be reimbursed for travel and study expenses.
