Special clinical interest in Sleep Apnoea, Hypersomnia, Circadian Rhythm Disorder and Sleep Movement Disorder
Dr Lau is a Queensland-trained Respiratory, Sleep, and General Physician. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Melbourne in 2012. Dr Lau initially undertook specialist internal medicine training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital before embarking on advanced respiratory training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and Mater Hospital. Dr Lau then returned to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital to complete his fellowship in sleep medicine. Dr Lau’s areas of interest include sleep disorders (such as obstructive sleep apnoea and circadian rhythm disorders), asthma, and lung cancer. Dr Lau maintains active research interests and has obtained additional post-graduate qualifications in biostatistics.
