Dr Ben Ng obtained his medical degree at the University of New South Wales in 2008, graduating with 1st class honours. He completed basic physician and cardiology advanced training at Prince of Wales, St George, Sutherland and Port Macquarie Base Hospitals, becoming a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2015. He then undertook subspecialty fellowships in cardiac electrophysiology and pacing, initially at Prince of Wales Hospital, and then at Toronto General Hospital, Canada.
He has been passionate about medical education and has won numerous teaching awards for undergraduate teaching and postgraduate mentorship. He takes pride in having clear and transparent communication with patients. He has subspecialty interests in the management of arrhythmia, including ablations of supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias, along with cardiac device implantation and management.
He consults primarily at Greenslopes Private Hospital, with admitting and procedural privileges at The Wesley Hospital and Mater Private Hospital.
Dr Ben Ng has been recognised for and has received awards in teaching and mentorship from Toronto General Hospital, Prince of Wales and Sutherland Hospital.
