Heart Failure Device
To evaluate a new heart failure sensing device in patients with heart failure
To be considered for the study you must meet the following criteria:
- 18 years of age or older
- Have a diagnosis of heart failure
- At least 1 admission to hospital for heart failure within the last 12 months
- Body Mass Index (BMI) < 35 <
Your participation in this study would be for approximately 2 years.
You will need to go into hospital for a day to have the device inserted into your pulmonary artery. You will then be trained on how to measure and record your pulmonary artery pressure at home. Follow up visits at the clinic will be at months 1 and 6 and then every 6 months. During these visits you will have a physical examination and be asked about your health and medication.
You will be reimbursed for travel and study expenses.
