Mr Pawel Trapszo has been practicing surgery since 1995. In 2009 he turned his career to exclusively Breast Surgery. He provides a wide range of high standard, comprehensive and safe care to patients with all breast conditions and problems.

Mr Trapszo graduated in 1992, from Wroclaw Medical University in Poland and he underwent full surgical training there, up to a specialist surgeon (Consultant level), which he completed in 2001.

Gathering international experience, Mr Trapszo spent 18 months, working as a general surgeon in Germany and he subsequently returned to Poland, to continue his general surgical career.

In 2004 arrived Mr Trapszo in the UK and started working, as a Staff Grade in General Surgery at Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford. In 2007 he became an Associate Specialist in General Surgery and in 2009 he moved to the Royal Marsden Hospital, as a Speciality Doctor in Breast Surgery.

In 2012, Mr Trapszo was offered a position of a Deputy of the Head of a Specialist Breast Cancer Centre in Germany, with the task of expanding breast surgery, obtaining a certification of the centre from German Cancer Association and implementing more sophisticated oncoplastic service, which he successfully did, having spent in Germany four years.

Mr Trapszo returned to the UK in 2016, where he obtained a position of a Consultant Breast Surgeon at Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford, where he works (in the NHS) till now.

Mr Pawel Trapszo participates in various activities and projects of both, research and service improvement character, aside his everyday patients` care. In 2008, he was actively involved in implementation of Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy technique at Darent Valley Hospital. During his time at the Royal Marsden Hospital, he participated in large POETIC Trial and in implementation of, so called, Open Access Follow Up for breast cancer patients.

Mr Trapszo has experience and expertise in the management of a wide range of breast disease, both malignant (cancerous) and benign (non-cancerous). He offers consultations in a One Stop Clinic format, which includes, so called, triple assessment (clinical examination, breast imaging and biopsy, if needed), supported by an excellent, experienced and highly professional team of Breast Radiologist, Pathologist and Breast Clinical Nurse Specialist.

He also offers a wide range of breast operation in both malignant and benign conditions, which include oncoplastic operations, if indicated. Oncoplastic operations, through adopting plastic surgery techniques, in breast cancer patients, expand the borders of breast conserving surgery (lumpectomy), whilst maintaining good cosmetic results.

Mr Trapszo also offers breast reconstruction operations using the newest methods of breast implant-based reconstruction with utilization of acellular dermal matrix (ADM), as well as lipofilling and nipple-areola-complex (NAC) reconstruction.

Through knowledge and experience based but also personalised and compassionate care, Mr Trapszo believes in helping patients even in challenging situations and circumstances.
