Overview

Clinical interests in melanoma, autologous T-cells and theranostics clinical trials.

Dr Salim completed her undergraduate medical degree from Baqai Medical University in Pakistan in 2004 and migrated to Australia in 2009. In between she completed certification exams for the American board (ECFMG). Dr Salim commenced basic physician training at Lyell McEwin Hospital and completed her advance training in medical oncology rotating through various hospitals including The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Royal Adelaide Hospital and Calvary North Adelaide Hospital.

Dr Salim was admitted as a fellow to the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2020. She then pursued a year in clinical research as a fellow at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, medical oncology clinical trials unit where she was involved in coordinating closely phase 1, 2 and 3 trials in various tumor streamlines, especially melanoma. She also worked with pioneering trials of autologous T-cells and theranostic trials in South Australia, also gaining valuable experience with trial development concepts. She is currently pursuing her post graduate degree by research (HDR).
