Improving patient care on World Cancer Day

Tuesday February 5th

Thursday 4th February was World Cancer Day, people from all over the world have connected globally over social media to spread the message that ‘We can. I can’ take actions to help treat, prevent and fight cancer and the effect it has on individuals. Across social media people wrote supportive messages on their hands using the ‘We can. I can’ theme and share it across their personal platforms to help raise awareness.

We took the opportunity to get involved across all of our sites across CancerCare, HeartCare, SleepCare, and support services, hosting a ‘Patient Experience’ workshop with over 50 clinicians from our network, coupled with patients and advocacy groups, to improve the services we provide and experience we give to our patients.

We loved the messages our patients and team shared and are privileged that we get to support them during such a difficult time in their lives.
