Dr Wood specialises in the management of head and neck, thyroid and urological malignancies. During her Specialist training she spent time doing an MD research degree at the University of London evaluating the use of positron-emitting radiotracers to identify radiation-resistant sub-volumes to facilitate radiotherapy dose-escalation to these areas.
She treats patients with the most up-to-date external beam radiotherapy techniques, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, novel agents and hormones.
