About Dr Brady

Dr Brady is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist based in London and Kent, specialising in the treatment of lymphoma and other haematological cancers with radiotherapy.

She qualified from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 2001 with honours. After general medical training in Wales, she returned to South East England to start specialist training in oncology. This took her to several leading cancer centres including Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, the Royal Marsden, Imperial NHS Trust, and the Kent Oncology Centre. She completed her training in 2013 and then undertook a post-CCT fellowship in lymphoma radiotherapy at Guy’s and St Thomas’.  She was appointed as a substantive consultant in 2016, initially treating colorectal cancer and haematological malignancies. Since 2019 her NHS practice has focused on haematological malignancies alone.

She has wide experience in radiotherapy treatment for lymphoma (Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin), plasma cell disorders (myeloma), leukaemia, myeloproliferative neoplasms, and histiocytoses. This includes craniospinal irradiation and total body irradiation. In her NHS practice, she also delivers systemic treatment for lymphoma.

Her main clinical and research interest is the use of advanced radiotherapy techniques in lymphoma, with the aim of minimising risk of side effects whilst maintaining efficacy. Her post-CCT fellowship was the implementation of deep inspiration breath-hold (DIBH) technique for mediastinal lymphoma.

She enjoys teaching and research and is recognised as an opinion leader in lymphoma radiotherapy both nationally and internationally. She has been principal and co-investigator of clinical studies. She regularly presents and lectures at educational meetings. She has co-authored several guidelines and published in high-profile journals. She is a steering committee member of the International Lymphoma Radiation Oncology Group.
