After qualifying and working as a doctor in the UK Dr Dangoor commenced his training in medical oncology in New Zealand, and then completed training at the Christie Hospital in Manchester, a leading cancer centre.
Dr Dangoor also carried out a period of three years research as a Cancer Research UK Clinical Fellow studying Immunotherapy of Cancer at the Paterson Institute for Cancer Research. This led to the award of a higher degree (MD) by the University of Manchester.
Dr Dangoor currently works at the Bristol Cancer Institute where he carries out a busy clinical practice. He is also network lead for lung cancer, Chief Clinical Information Officer, and previously lead for chemotherapy. As well as providing care for patients with cancer, he supervises and teaches oncology trainees, junior doctors and medical students.
