New Haematology Rapid Access Service launches at GenesisCare in Oxford

GenesisCare in Oxford is pleased to announce the launch of our new Haematology Rapid Access Service to enable you to refer patients quickly to a Consultant Haematologist for assessment, diagnosis and potential treatment.

This new, easy-to-access service offers same day or next day appointments for your patients, during the current pandemic either remotely or at our low-footfall outpatient centre.

How to use the service

To refer a patient, simply complete the Haematology Rapid Access Patient Referral Form and email it to our team at haematology.referrals@genesiscare.co.uk

If you have an urgent patient enquiry or want to know whether to refer, please complete Part A of the referral form only and email it to haematology.referrals@genesiscare.co.uk and we’ll arrange for you to speak to one of our Consultant Haematologists ahead of the potential referral.

Easy access process

Once a referral form is received, our team will book your patient into the next available haematology outpatient appointment, either on the same day or the next day.

We are pleased to be able to offer this service for patients with either private medical insurance or wishing to self-fund.

How to access

We are recognised by all the private health insurers for outpatients, diagnostics and cancer treatment. A GP referral letter is usually required in order for the patient to gain pre-authorisation from their insurer.

GenesisCare

GenesisCare is the UK’s leading independent cancer treatment provider offering chemotherapy, radiotherapy and diagnostics. Our advanced and innovative treatments and techniques ensure we offer all our patients the best possible outcome.

All 14 of our specialist oncology outpatient centres remain open so we can continue to treat without delay and are able to accept new referrals for diagnostics, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. We are operating a safe environment, with modified practices to protect patients and staff and many of our centres operate as stand-alone clinics. Find out more
