At GenesisCare, Wembley our patients can access experienced specialists utilising advanced technology, supported by evidence-based care in a friendly, accessible, and low-stress environment.

GenesisCare, Wembley offers access to personalised cancer care services including radiation therapy, aiming to provide modern treatments and techniques.

GenesisCare, Wembley brings together a team of cancer-specific specialists with long-standing treatment experience, offering care to local and rural Western Australian patients.

We are located across the road from St John of God Hospital Subiaco, allowing us to partner with dedicated providers and act as the gateway to many of your cancer services - offering support throughout your journey.

We strive to offer you rapid access to care, tailored to suit your needs.

Our treatments and services

We offer a holistic care approach, that is designed around each individual’s needs, to ensure all have the best patient experience. Your care will be managed by a multidisciplinary team, including radiation oncologists, nurses, radiation therapists, and a team of compassionate support staff. At GenesisCare, Wembley we strive to offer rapid access to treatment, with minimal wait times, and when possible same day simulation appointments.

Radiation oncology

Radiation therapy may be offered in the early stages of cancer treatment, or after it has started to spread. Radiation therapy techniques can include Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Surface Guided Radiation Therapy (SGRT), Stereotactic Ablative Radiation Therapy (SABR), Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT), brachytherapy, palliative care, and non-invasive treatment for non-melanoma skin cancer.

Clinical trials

At GenesisCare, we challenge ourselves every day to help find new and better ways to provide high-quality care, and we aim to deliver the best possible outcomes for our patients wherever we can.

Our Wembley team may be able to offer you access to the GenesisCare global network of clinical trials. For further information on clinical trial participation, please speak with your treating doctor.

Exercise medicine

Considerable research and clinical evidence has established that exercise may be beneficial for people with cancer; however, there is no one-size-fits-all approach.1,2 Every person’s circumstances are unique and these should be taken into account. Tailored exercise programs designed by an exercise professional that include both aerobic and resistance training activities have been shown to provide benefits.3 It is recommended to discuss the most appropriate options for you with your doctor and care team.

Accommodation

  • Access to Crawford/Milroy Lodge via Cancer Council Accommodation Services for regional patients (criteria required)
