Statement from GenesisCare

Statement from GenesisCare

SYDNEY, Australia – May 1, 2023 – GenesisCare advises that it has identified certain issues in how the GenesisCare group of companies has deployed its EasyPay payment plan in Australia. EasyPay was designed by GenesisCare to allow patients to pay for their cancer treatment in instalments. Whilst no patients are currently expected to have been adversely affected by EasyPay, it has been suspended for new patients whilst GenesisCare makes necessary adjustments. This will not affect patients on active EasyPay payment plans. As an interim measure, new GenesisCare patients will now either be offered bulk billing or standard private fee arrangements, depending on their situation.

Concessional patients treated at sites with equipment funded by Radiation Oncology Health Program Grants will be offered bulk billing in accordance with existing grant conditions.

These changes do not affect patient care, and patients are not required to take any action.

Ensuring that all Australians have access to high quality and affordable cancer care remains GenesisCare’s priority.
