GenesisCare Appoints David Young as Chief Executive Officer
Dr Roy Beveridge joins as Senior Advisor to support GenesisCare’s work to help patients live longer, quality lives
SYDNEY, Australia – April 11, 2023 – GenesisCare, one of the largest providers of integrated cancer care in Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom and Spain, today announced the appointment of David Young as Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”), effective 17 April 2023.
Mr Young is an experienced and respected industry leader, and brings to GenesisCare his significant experience having held senior executive positions in international healthcare services businesses. Mr Young was most recently President and CEO of PE GI Solutions, the largest single-specialty developer, owner and manager of gastrointestinal illness practices in the United States. He was previously the Chief Operating Officer of Privia Health Inc., a physician practice management and medical group also in the United States. Mr Young has also previously served as Chief Financial Officer of US Oncology and as Senior Vice President of Operations for McKesson Specialty Health following the combination with US Oncology.
In addition to the appointment of Mr Young as CEO, GenesisCare announced that healthcare industry veteran Dr Roy Beveridge will join the Company as a Senior Advisor.
Dr Beveridge is the former Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Humana, Inc., where he was responsible for developing and implementing Humana’s clinical strategy. He has also served as Chief Medical Officer for McKesson Specialty Health, including the US Oncology network.
These appointments represent a new chapter of senior leadership at GenesisCare and reinforce a steadfast commitment to enabling doctors and clinical staff to deliver world-class care to patients everywhere the Company operates.

Background on David Young
Most recently, from 2018 to 2023, Mr Young was President and CEO of PE GI Solutions (previously known as Physicians Endoscopy, Inc.) under the ownership of both Kelso & Co. and the subsequent sale to United Healthcare. PE GI Solutions is the largest single-specialty developer, owner and manager of gastrointestinal illness practices in the US. Prior to leading PE GI Solutions, Mr Young was Chief Operating Officer of Privia Health, Inc., a US physician practice management and medical group. Mr Young’s extensive industry experience also includes executive roles at Smile Brands, Inc., McKesson Specialty Health, and US Oncology. Mr Young holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and received his MBA from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Accountant, and Corporate Treasurer.
Background on Dr Roy Beveridge
Dr Beveridge is the former Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Humana, Inc., where he was responsible for developing and implementing Humana’s clinical strategy with an emphasis on advancing the company’s integrated care delivery model. He brings deep strategic leadership skills to GenesisCare and will support Mr Young in the execution of the group’s strategy. Dr Beveridge has also served as the Chief Medical Officer for McKesson Specialty Health. In addition to his exemplary executive career, Dr Beveridge is a board-certified Medical Oncologist who completed his medical degree at Cornell University Medical College, followed by a residency in internal medicine at the University of Chicago Hospital and fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
