Mr Monib is a consultant oncoplastic breast surgeon in the West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, which encompasses St Albans City Hospital, Watford General Hospital, and Hemel Hempstead Hospital.

His clinical practice includes the management of benign breast disease, breast cancer risk assessment and management, in addition to screen-detected and symptomatic breast cancer treatment using various image-guided oncoplastic and breast reconstruction techniques with excellent oncologic and aesthetic outcomes. In his NHS practice, he undertakes a full range of breast ultrasound scanning, guided biopsies, and reporting.

Mr Sherif's special interests include breast health, breast cancer risk management and screening, as well as personalisation of breast cancer care using plastic surgery techniques to optimise cancer and aesthetic surgical outcomes. As Mr Sherif is quite aware of the huge psychological and physical impact of breast cancer diagnosis and treatment modalities on my patients, he has been commended on his ability to communicate empathetically and clearly with my patients to reassure them and navigate through personalised complex shared decision-making towards an excellent outcome. In addition, he provide support services that run parallel with the traditional medical and surgical treatment modalities to try to alleviate the impact of the diagnosis and treatment.

As a core member of the St Albans Breast Unit multidisciplinary team of West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, Mr Monib works closely with medical and clinical oncology colleagues, radiologists, plastic surgeons, and other multidisciplinary team members to deliver excellent individualised patient care.

In addition to his NHS commitments, Mr Monib is a General Medical Council Associate, Brunel Medical School examiner, Association of Breast Surgery Medical School Champion, and a Hand on Heart charity organisation member.
