A specialist in advanced robotic surgery for prostate & bladder cancer

Mr Luke Stroman is a Consultant Urological and Robotic Surgeon at The Urology Partnership and Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading, and also holds clinics in Windsor.

He specialises in advanced, personalised surgical treatment of prostate and bladder disease using minimally invasive and the latest, cutting-edge robotic techniques. This is with a focus on prostate and bladder cancer, as well as benign prostatic enlargement.

He also has extensive experience in a wide range of complex pelvic cancer procedures, including robotic radical prostatectomy, cystoprostatectomy and female cystectomy with ileal conduit formation, as well as ureteric reimplantation. He has a specialist interest in nerve-sparing robotic prostatectomy and works closely with consultant andrology colleagues to optimise cancer outcomes while preserving urinary, sexual, and reproductive health wherever possible.

In addition to cancer surgery, Mr Stroman offers a full spectrum of modern treatments for benign prostatic enlargement. These include robotic aquablation water-vapour treatment and transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), enabling truly individualised treatment selection based on patient anatomy, symptoms and lifestyle.

With over x years experience as a surgeon, Mr Stroman understands the importance of clear and compassionate communication alongside technical excellence. He believes that successful surgical care depends on thorough assessment, shared decision-making and careful attention to recovery and long-term quality of life. His patients value his calm, honest and pragmatic approach throughout their treatment journey.

After completing a Bachelor’s degree with honours in Physics with Astrophysics at the University of Bristol, Mr Stroman studied medicine at the University of Wales. Following specialist urological training across the Oxford and South London deaneries, he trained at leading centres including Guy’s and St George’s Hospitals, developing expertise in urological oncology and benign prostatic disease. He later undertook an advanced robotic uro-oncology fellowship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australia, and now divides his time between his clinical practice in Reading and Windsor.
