Consultant Oncoplastic Breast and General Surgeon
Mr Goran Ahmed is a specialist consultant oncoplastic breast surgeon. He has been a consultant based at Frimley Park Hospital since 2021.
Following his general surgical training, he completed two years of oncoplastic surgery fellowship in 2021. During his fellowship, he advanced his training in surgical management of breast and skin cancer and trained in plastic surgical techniques to improve cosmetic outcome of cancer surgery. At the same time of his fellowship, he completed a Masters degree with Distinction in oncoplastic breast surgery from the University of East Anglia.
With a background in surgical oncology and experience in plastic surgery, he provides cancer surgery with utmost attention to breast aesthetics. He offers full or partial breast reconstruction and mammoplasty after cancer surgery whenever possible, taking into account cancer stage and patient wishes.
Mr Ahmed offers consultations about all breast symptoms with access to imaging in a one-stop diagnostic service. Additionally, he provides family history assessment using validated tools such as CanRisk and Manchester Score. He provides risk-reducing surgery for those confirmed with a gene mutation. He can also advise hormonal prophylaxis and enhanced screening for those deemed to be at increased risk of breast cancer.
