Dr Thippu is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist based in Cambridge UK and Affiliated Assistant Professor at the Department of Oncology, University of Cambridge. He specialises in lung, prostate, bladder and oligometastatic cancers.
Dr Thippu trained in Clinical Oncology at Cambridge and completed an MSc Oncology at the Institute of Cancer Research, London. During his doctoral research fellowship, he investigated radiosensitising strategies in-vitro, and was awarded an MD. He completed proton beam therapy at the Paul Scherrer Institute in Switzerland and SRS fellowships.
His wide-ranging research interests including technical radiotherapy, late-phase radiotherapy trials and AI in radiation oncology. A member of many trial development/management groups and a site principal investigator of several studies, Dr Thippu has also authored numerous scientific papers and book chapters, written guidelines and presented at many conferences.
Dr Thippu is an educator and mentor for oncology residents and medical students, and Assistant Editor of Clinical Oncology journal.
