Dr Rene Roux is a Consultant Medical Oncologist based in Oxford and the Chilterns, whose practice delivers the full range of systemic therapies for breast and gynaecological cancers. Dr Roux is actively involved in clinical research and is the principal investigator for several national and international clinical trials currently in Oxford at the Churchill Hospital and GenesisCare.
Dr Roux was appointed as a Consultant in Medical Oncology in Oxford in 2016. Prior to this, she gained extensive experience working at leading cancer centres, including The Royal Marsden, and undertook research at The Institute of Cancer Research in London. Her specialist training included rotations through prominent teaching hospitals such as the Royal Free, UCL and Mount Vernon.
Clinical interests
Dr Roux is a Consultant medical Oncologist with specialist expertise in the management of gynaecological and breast cancers. Her clinical practice is closely integrated with research, with a strong focus on the use of novel and targeted therapies alongside standard treatments, and active involvement in clinical trials to improve patient outcomes.
