Dr Maria Karina is a Medical Oncologist Consultant in the UK since 2011. She had her primary Medical Education in Thessaloniki, Greece where she also trained in Internal Medicine, until 1998.
Her training in Medical Oncology started in 2000 with a fellowship at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and her PhD in Gastric Cancer Immunohistochemistry Biomarkers. She continued with a fellowship in Clinical Trials at the EORTC Headquarters in Brussels.
She started her Medical Oncology training in the UK in 2006 at the Christie hospital (Manchester UK) and completed in 2011 (Birmingham, West Midlands UK).
Her areas of expertise include breast and lung cancer. She is actively involved in research and she is the lead for the Oncology research team in the Milton Keynes hospital.
