Special clinical interest in head and neck cancers.
Dr Wong is a consultant clinical oncologist specialising in head & neck, thyroid and lung malignancies. After undergraduate medical education and core medical training in Manchester, he undertook clinical oncology training in South West London at the Royal Marsden Hospital and Guildford. During his training, he also took a two year out-of-programme research fellowship for MD(Res) at the Royal Marsden Hospital/The Institute of Cancer Research, looking at the role of functional imaging (PET and MRI) as predictive and prognostic biomarkers in head & neck cancers. He has more than 15 publications in peer-reviewed journals and two book chapter publications. Following the completion of his training, Dr Wong was appointed in 2017 and is seeing patients at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre and Lister Hospital.
