Dr Ajay Mehta qualified from Guy’s Hospital Medical School in 1992. He trained in Oncology at St Bartholemew’s, Hammersmith, Mount Vernon and the Royal Marsden Hospitals. He has been a Consultant in Clinical Oncology since 2004 and is currently practising at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford where he is also the Lead Clinician for Radiotherapy.
He offers comprehensive management of Lung and Upper GI cancers( oesophagus and stomach). This involves systemic therapies such as immunotherapy, targeted therapy and chemotherapy. He also has expertise in advanced radiotherapy techniques such as IMRT, RapidARC and SABR.
He is the principal investigator for several clinical trials. He is an examiner for the Royal College of Radiologists and the GMC. He has a BSc in Experimental Pathology and a Diploma in Medical Ethics.
