Your care team will let you know if there’s anything you need to do to prepare for your appointment, for example if you need to avoid eating before or what to bring with you.

When you arrive, we are situated inside the Spire Southampton hospital. Please enter via the main hospital entrance and you’ll see double doors on the left hand side of the reception which lead through to GenesisCare Southampton cancer centre.

Your consultant will take the time to explain and provide additional resources for you if needed.

You can also ask your care team questions at any time if you have any queries or need advice. They’re here to help you throughout your treatment and beyond.

If you’re having treatment, you’ll be given advice about aftercare, what to do once you’re home and any potential side effects and how to manage them. We’ll arrange follow-ups with you to check how you’re doing and that the treatment is working as expected.
