Professional profile


Ben is a graduate of the University of Western Australia Medical School with Honours in 2003. He trained in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Royal Perth and Fremantle hospitals as well as in London, UK. Ben then completed subspecialty training Electrophysiology and Pacing at the University Health Network / University of Toronto in Canada.

In 2016 Ben was appointed Senior Lecturer at University of Western Australia. Ben practices in general cardiology as well as heart rhythm disorders. He has trained to implant all forms of pacemakers, defibrillators and cardiac resynchronization devices as well to perform ablations including supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), atrial fibrillation (AF), ventricular tachycardia (VT) and arrhythmias in adult congenital heart disease. Ben has recommenced private practice with GenesisCare WA and currently has an appointment at the Mount Hospital, St John of God Hospital Murdoch and Royal Perth Hospital.

Ben consults at Cockburn, Hollywood, Yokine, Mandurah, Port Hedland and Karratha.
