Overview
Clinical interests in breast, lung, sarcoma malignancies and palliative care
Susan completed her medical degree at the University of Western Australia in 2003. As a junior doctor at Royal Perth Hospital, she began working in radiation oncology which sparked a passion to specialise in the discipline.
An opportunity to begin specialist training and contribute to the local community opened up in Port Macquarie’s newly opened cancer centre on the mid north coast of NSW. From there, Susan moved to Sydney to further her training at Royal North Shore Hospital before returning home to Perth to complete training.
In 2015, Susan was awarded a WA Cancer and Palliative Care Network cancer fellowship which she undertook at Fiona Stanley Hospital. She is interested in clinical research in head and neck cancers.
Susan has a key interest in education and teaches medical students at the University of Western Australia, as well as radiation oncology registrars in training.
