Overview
GenesisCare, Hollywood offers access to integrated cancer care services including radiation therapy and allied health support.
At GenesisCare, we believe that care should be focused on the individual, not the condition.
The GenesisCare, Hollywood centre is located at Hollywood Private Hospital in the purpose-built Hollywood Consulting Centre, and offers access to personalised cancer care services to public and private patients.
The Hollywood team aim to offer rapid access to consultation and evidence-based treatment, delivered using advanced radiation therapy technology, within a multidisciplinary care environment.
Patient care is managed by a team of passionate healthcare professionals with experience in oncology including: radiation oncologists, registered nurses, radiation therapists, physicists, allied health professionals, and a dedicated team of support staff.
Our treatments and services
Radiation oncology
Radiation therapy uses high energy X-rays or other particles to treat cancer and can be used at all stages. Radiation therapy techniques can include: External Beam Radiation Therapy (EBRT), Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT), Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), Stereotactic Radiotherapy (SRT), Stereotactic Ablative Body Radiation Therapy (SABR), Deep Inspiration Breath Hold (DIBH), Surface Guided Radiation Therapy (SGRT), palliative care, and specialised non-surgical treatment for skin cancer.

At GenesisCare, Hollywood we offer you access to a range of allied health services in partnership with Ramsay Health, all tailored to support your needs. One of your treatment team will discuss the most suitable options with you. Support services offered may include:

Exercise Medicine
Considerable research and clinical evidence has established that exercise may be beneficial for people with cancer; however, there is no one-size-fits-all approach.1,2 Every person’s circumstances are unique and these should be take into account. Tailored exercise programs designed by an exercise professional that include both aerobic and resistance training activities have been shown to provide benefits.3 To learn more about incorporating exercise during your cancer journey, please speak with your doctor and treatment team.
Accommodation for rural and regional patients
Eligible rural and regional patients may be offered access to the below accommodation options:
- Access to Crawford/Milroy Lodge via Cancer Council Accommodation Services for regional patients (criteria required)
- PATS assistance (criteria required)

Transportation for rural and regional patients - to and from treatment
For eligible rural and regional patients, the GenesisCare, Hollywood patient services team may be able to offer access to and help coordinate patient pickups and return transport from the provided accommodation to our treatment centre each day.
