Biography
Clinical interests in complex skin, head & neck, central nervous system, thoracic and haematological malignancies.
A/Prof. Ben Chua is a consultant Radiation Oncologist at GenesisCare Rockhampton and Brisbane (Chermside and Wesley). He obtained his radiation oncology fellowship in 2015 after training in Queensland and regional New South Wales, including a fellowship in head & neck cancer. He also has an interest in complex skin, central nervous system (CNS) and haematological malignancies.
A/Prof. Chua has a conjoint appointment at the University of Queensland with an active academic portfolio, including over $2m in competitive grant funding, supervision of higher degree students, leadership of clinical trials as a chairperson and principal investigator, publications in international medical journals and presentations at international meetings.

Translational research and collaborative trials in brain and skin cancer
Ben has recently been appointed as Reference Committee Co-Chair of eviQ, which sets national radiation oncology practice standards. He is an invited member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Co-Operative Trials Group for Neuro-Oncology (COGNO), and is an examiner for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists.
