Biography
Clinical interest in general endocrinology including thyroid disease, pituitary and adrenal disorders, skeletal health, calcium disorders, endocrine neoplasia and related genetic endocrine syndromes.
Dr Lyndal Tacon is a Senior Staff Specialist with extensive experience in clinical endocrinology.
Lyndal completed medical training at the University of New South Wales, followed by specialist endocrinology training at Royal North Shore Hospital, and a PhD investigating the role of the glucocorticoid receptor in adrenal tumours.
Lyndal has worked as a Staff Specialist in Endocrinology at Royal North Shore Hospital since 2009, where she is actively involved in multidisciplinary team meetings, supporting coordinated care for patients with complex endocrine conditions. She is also involved in clinical research studies related to thyroid cancer, growth hormone deficiency and disorders of calcium metabolism.
Lyndal is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney and supervises PhD students. She has over 20 peer-reviewed publications and has presented at national and international endocrinology meetings.
Lyndal manages a broad range of endocrine disorders, including thyroid, pituitary and adrenal disease, skeletal health, calcium disorders, endocrine neoplasia and genetic endocrine syndromes. She is committed to collaborative, evidence-based, patient-centred care.
