Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist with special clinical interest in non invasive cardiac imaging.

Peter studied medicine in Perth and graduated from UWA in 1990. He completed cardiology training in Perth, Canberra and Geelong before doing a fellowship in echocardiography at Emory University Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia under Professor Randy Martin.

Peter’s clinical interests are heart failure, coronary disease, valvular heart disease, stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation and cardio-oncology. In 2018 he set up the GenesisCare Cardio-Oncology service in WA for medical oncology. In 2019 he is setting up the GenesisCare Cardio-Oncology service in WA for radiation oncology.

He performs coronary angiography, transoesophageal echocardiography and runs a regular stress echo clinic. Peter is the Director of the Cardiovascular Trials WA Inc. This is an independent not for profit research organisation involved in a multitude of cutting edge new trials. He now leads a number of clinical trials in WA for Heartcare Research Network (GenesisCare cardiovascular research).

Peter admits private patients to Joondalup Private Hospital and the Mount Hospital. Peter currently consults at Joondalup.
