Clinical interests include brain, breast, colorectal, genitourinary, head and neck, lung, myeloma, lymphomas, oesophageal, prostate, skin and spinal.
Dr David D'Cruz completed his basic medical training in India. He subsequently worked as a junior doctor in the UK before moving to New Zealand where he trained as a Radiation Oncologist.
In 2013, after completing his speciality training, David moved to Dunedin to work as a Radiation Oncologist where he focussed on the use of stereotactic ablative radiation (SABR) for brain tumours and lung cancers. During this tenure he also worked as a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Otago and as the Director of Training in Radiation Oncology.
David is involved in the treatment of most adult cancers and is experienced in the use of both the simple and more complex radiation delivery techniques. He is experienced in the delivery of stereotactic ablative radiotherapy to cancer. He is a member of ESTRO (European Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology) and is passionate about providing his patients with a personalized approach to cancer care.
