GenesisCare Radiation Oncologist Dr David Christie has offered cancer care at the Tugun site for 30 years and said: “I’ve witnessed many advancements in cancer care and changes in the local neighbourhood over 30 years of working here, but what has remained constant is our centre’s role in meeting an important local need for cancer care access. We know that long commutes can deter patients from seeking treatmentand over the years, patients have had to travel to Brisbane or even Sydney to undertake some types of cancer treatment. We are proud to bring cancer care closer to home for our local community.”

More than 30 healthcare professionals make up the team at GenesisCare in Tugun, including highly skilled doctors, radiation therapists, nurses, physicists, engineers, and support staff, who all live and work locally.
