A/Prof Stephen Della-Fiorentina is a senior medical oncologist in South West Sydney and has been offering high-quality cancer care to the population in the Local Government Areas of Campbelltown, Camden, Wollondilly, and the Southern Highlands for over 25 years.
He is the current Clinical Director of Cancer Services at South West Sydney Local Health District and was the Foundation Director of the Macarthur Cancer Therapy Centre at Campbelltown Hospital - a leader in patient satisfaction - which ranked as the best public cancer centre for six consecutive years.
A/Prof Della-Fiorentina is a pioneer in the development of the electronic cancer medical record in Australia and a co-chair of the Protocol Build Committee. He is also a member of the Cancer Working Group for the development of the Single Digital Patient Record in NSW Health, scheduled for implementation in 2026-2027.
He holds an appointment with Western Sydney University and the University of Wollongong and is an accredited supervisor of oncology trainees.
He has extensive experience in phase 1-3 clinical trials in multiple tumour sites. In 2022, he was awarded an Order of Australia Medal for his services to oncology.
