Biography
Clinical interests in lymphoma, myeloma, chronic leukaemia, myeloproliferative neoplasms, iron overload, iron deficiency, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and pulmonary embolism (PE).
Dr Riton Das is a clinical and laboratory haematologist who has been practising as a specialist since 2015. He completed his Haematology training at Westmead, Liverpool and Nepean hospitals in NSW. He currently serves as a Senior Staff Specialist Haematologist in Western NSW LHD and works as a Haematopathologist with Laverty Pathology. He is also a VMO at Norwest Private Hospital, Lakeview Private Hospital and GenesisCare. In addition, he is a Director of Physician Training at Bathurst Hospital and a Conjoint Lecturer at Western Sydney University.
Dr Das is highly regarded by his patients for his excellent communication skills and compassionate approach. He is committed to delivering up-to-date, evidence-based care through a multidisciplinary model.
His clinical practice encompasses a broad range of haematological conditions, including perioperative anticoagulation management and the evaluation of abnormal blood counts. He also manages patients with lymphoma, myeloma, chronic leukaemia, myeloproliferative neoplasms, iron overload, iron deficiency, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and pulmonary embolism (PE).
He ensures prompt assessment of patients upon receipt of referrals and provides a timely response. He is easily accessible to his referring colleagues for advice and support.
