Biography
Clinical interests include lung and skin cancers, benign conditions, palliative radiation therapy, and haematological malignancies
Dr Renée Duvenage is a Radiation Oncology Fellow at GenesisCare Maitland and Lake Macquarie. She completed her medical studies at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and specialist training within the Northern NSW Network, including Crown Princess Mary Cancer Centre at Westmead, Blacktown, Nepean, and Port Macquarie hospitals.
Known for her compassionate approach, Renée is committed to combining evidence-based medicine with empathy, ensuring patients feel informed, supported and empowered throughout their treatment journey. Her areas of interest include lung, skin, benign, haematologic and palliative radiotherapy, with a focus on holistic and patient-centred treatment approaches.
Outside of work, Renée contributes to the development of future healthcare professionals through teaching and mentoring supporting phase 1 RANZCR, BSOC teaching and Young blood (NSW Haematology Advanced Trainees).

- Renée received the Elekta Research Award at the 2026 RANZCR Annual Scientific Meeting. She was awarded this for her research into prophylactic radiotherapy for Dupuytren’s disease. Her work, including a DEPART clinical trial sub-study comparing whole-palm and involved-field treatment approaches, contributes valuable insights into patient quality of life and treatment toxicity outcomes.
