Dr Lakmalie Perera is an experienced Senior Radiation Oncologist who is dedicated to delivering compassionate and patient-centred cancer care. With a warm and personalised approach to care, Dr Perera ensures her patients and their loved ones are supported every step on the way, from diagnosis through to treatment and beyond.
Dr Perera undertook specialist Radiation Oncology training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital & Westmead/Nepean Hospitals. She obtained her fellowship in 2006 and was subsequently appointed staff specialist at Westmead and Nepean Hospital Radiation Oncology Network, specialising in head & neck and skin cancers. She has been heavily involved in education and was assigned the role of Director of Clinical Training for Westmead/Nepean hospital in 2007.
With almost 2 decades of experience in the management and treatment of Head and Neck cancer and Skin cancer, Dr Perera is an expert in her field. She is actively involved in medical education, research, multidisciplinary care and implementing cutting-edge treatment options to optimise patient outcomes.
Her current appointments include Senior Radiation Oncology clinical lead at Nepean Hospital, Director of Clinical Training Nepean Hospital and Conjoint Senior Lecturer at Western Sydney University.
