Brad completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Adelaide before undertaking his radiation oncology training in South Australia. In 2015 he was awarded Fellowship to the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR). He practices as a consultant radiation oncology specialist with GenesisCare in Buderim and Noosa with an outreach clinic in Gympie.
Brad is dedicated to offering personalised care through the provision of modern treatment techniques including volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT), image guided radiation therapy (IGRT), deep inspiration breath hold (DIBH), tattoo-less breast radiotherapy, stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy (SABR) and the use of rectal spacing to reduce side effects in prostate cancer patients. In recent years Brad has presented at a number of medical conferences on the topics of skin cancer and prostate cancer. He regularly participates in multidisciplinary team meetings and believes in a holistic approach to patient care.
Brad has been involved in clinical teaching and has been awarded the academic title of Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland School of Medicine. He is an active participant in clinical research and is currently recruiting to the PREDICT study to improve outcomes for patients with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) of the breast and to the ASTuTE study for patients with intermediate risk prostate cancer. His current major technical interests are in the use of custom bolus for wide field skin treatments.
Brad works across many tumour types and has clinical interests in the management of skin cancer, prostate cancer, urological cancers, breast cancer, benign conditions, and palliative care.

In October 2023, David was recognised for his extensive contribution to the community and received the RANZCR Inaugural “Service to the community” award at their annual College Meeting.

Breast patients benefit from a dedicated breast care nurse and access to our Breast Cancer Wellness clinic. Jean Kelly and Natasha Keir are passionate about offering wellbeing and post treatment support. In consultation with the individual patient, they develop a personalised Wellness Care Plan aiming to maximise patient health not just during but also after treatment.
Our onsite allied health team includes our breast care nurses, dietitian, counsellor, lymphoedema physiotherapist and exercise physiologist. This is part of the package at GenesisCare Sunshine Coast.

Our doctors have deep and broad expertise. There is a choice of three different doctors onsite with different profiles to suit your personal preferences. A consistent care team that knows your name will help put you at ease.
Modern and welcoming environment co-designed with patient comfort in mind and importantly coffee while you wait! Our centres have been designed with open spaces, relaxed furnishings and lush plant life to create a contemporary and relaxed atmosphere.
GenesisCare has free dedicated onsite parking at our doorstep. You can be in and out within approximately 20 minutes (exceptions apply) and we look after the paperwork for you to reduce your administrative burden. We have no wait times for new patients to be seen by our experienced team.
Private health care is not required to be seen at GenesisCare. Initial consultations with our local team are bulk billed.
Dr Bradley Wong has been conducting a regular clinic at the Gympie Specialist Centre since 2018 to support patients close to home and reduce the burden of travel for patients living in Gympie and the surrounding areas.
Complimentary bus service is available between Gympie and GenesisCare Noosa for treatment each day, easing the burden of travel for our patients.
