Yvette Laclaustra, MD, FACS is a Board Certified General Surgeon, specializing in disease of the breast. She completed her Undergraduate Degree at the University of Puerto Rico and attended the University Central Del Caribe, School of Medicine in Cayey, Puerto Rico, where she received her Medical Doctor Degree, Cum Laude. Dr. Laclaustra served as Chief Resident of the Department of Surgery at Nassau County Medical Center in New York. She is also bilingual in both English and Spanish.
Dr. Laclaustra has a keen passion for helping others. She attended several surgical missionary trips to Honduras, where she participated in a multitude of general surgical cases. She is an active leader, serving on the Board of Directors for the Susan G. Komen Foundation and was a featured speaker for the American College of Surgeons.
