After completing a fellowship in brachytherapy at the William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan in 1997, Dr. Vinay Sharma served as the residency program director and chief of brachytherapy for the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Since 1999, Dr. Sharma has been in private practice in South Florida, initially at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Florida, and most recently at Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Palm Beach County, where he served on the Bethesda Cancer Committee and as the ACS cancer liaison physician. Dr. Sharma has been very active in the South Florida community, speaking at many educational seminars. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology, and is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada.
