A Florida native, Dr. Stuart Byer received his bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Florida in 1977. Three years later, Dr. Byer graduated from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in 1980 and did his internship at Ellis Fischel Cancer Hospital. He completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at the Medical College of Wisconsin where he was the Chief Resident under the direction of Dr. James Cox who later became the Chief of Radiation Oncology at M.D. Anderson in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Byer is board certified in Radiation Oncology and has been practicing in Vero Beach for over 30 years. Dr. Byer and his wife have raised three kids in Vero Beach. He is proud to be able to work with his daughter, Jennifer Byer MD, who is a Medical Oncologist with Florida Cancer Specialists in Vero Beach.
