J. Ben Wilkinson, MD, FACRO is a Board-Certified Radiation Oncologist specializing in the treatment of all cancers including prostate, breast, lung and brain tumors and practices at Lompoc - Coastal Radiation Oncology, in collaboration with GenesisCare center for radiation oncology.
Beginning with an internship in medicine at University of Maryland in Baltimore, Dr. Wilkinson spent five total years in post-graduate medical training studying radiation oncology, radiobiology and medical physics. He served as Co-Chief Resident in his fourth year of training and graduated as a Radiation Oncologist from William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.
Dr. Wilkinson has contributed to clinical research through authorship or co-authorship of over 30 peer reviewed manuscripts, review articles and book chapters. He is Vice-Chair of the Communications Committee for ASTRO and Chair of the Membership Committee for ACRO. In 2019, Dr. Wilkinson was inducted as a fellow of ACRO for his work in developing the resident and new practitioner groups within ACRO.
