Harvey Samowitz, MD, believes that a strong doctor-patient relationship is critical for successful outcomes and management of the total patient. In some cases, this may require high-tech or aggressive therapy, while in many situations, it may result in nutritional supplements, minimally invasive therapy, or simple reassurance. Every patient is unique, and Dr. Samowitz is able and willing to do whatever is necessary and in the best interests of that individual patient, combining compassionate care with state-of-the-art medicine.

Dr. Samowitz was one of the first urologists in South Florida to be Board Certified in the new subspecialty of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, in addition to General Urology. His expertise also encompasses many of the adverse effects of cancer treatment, including male urinary incontinence, treated with surgery or radiation therapy. For many years, he has been involved in clinical research around male incontinence and offers the latest, state-of-the-art treatments. He also practices General Urology so that he diagnoses and treats cancer patients, kidney stones, urinary infections, frequency/urgency, incontinence, BPH, erectile dysfunction, women’s health, and developed new treatments for male infertility.

In his practice, he utilizes the best and most successful treatments for cancer, stones, prostate problems, overactive bladder, incontinence and erectile dysfunction. He is a member of many professional organizations, including Mensa and the American Urological Association. He was recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He also served as Secretary and then President of the Greater Miami Urological Society.
