Dr. Tolnai is a medical oncologist dual board certified in Medical Oncology as well as in Hematology. She also holds a Diploma in Breast Oncology from Emory University and Diploma in Clinical Neurology from London, UK. She has been in private practice in the Jupiter, FL area since 2004 and has served as Director of Oncology and Director of Clinical Research at the local hospitals. She was appointed as Voluntary Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Miller School of Medicine, UM and at Duke University. After graduating from Hungary’s most prestigious high school for gifted students with summa cum laude and obtaining 99% score on the highly competitive medical school admission test, she has earned her medical degree at Semmelweis University, Hungary with honors. During her Hematology/Oncology fellowship at the University Hospitals, Case Western Reserve University, Dr. Tolnai was nominated for the Heroes of Ireland Cancer Center Award and was a recipient of several other academic honors. Her research interest focused on breast and lung cancer and her poster presentation accepted by the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium.  She maintains a broad practice encompassing medical oncology, benign and malignant hematology with special interests in breast cancer, lung cancer and lymphomas. Dr. Tolnai strives to maintain excellence and up-to-date knowledge with hundreds of hours of continuing education each year in a rapidly changing oncology field. She also works closely with oncologists at various tertiary referral centers, such as Johns Hopkins, Moffitt Cancer Center, UM, Memorial Sloan Kettering etc. to coordinate and continue care of patients who are seasonal in Florida. “Practicing oncology has been a lifelong passion for me, especially because I have lived through this journey myself being a breast cancer survivor. Providing the best cancer care means being thorough, understanding the unique individual needs of each patient, combining state of the art knowledge and compassion.”
