Overview
Dr. Artour Torossian is a board-certified radiation oncologist. He completed his medical training at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. He subsequently completed his internship at Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois and his radiation oncology residency at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center.
His areas of clinical expertise include high dose-rate (HDR) and low dose-rate (LDR) brachytherapy, intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT),volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT), image guided radiation therapy (IGRT), stereotactic radio surgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) in the treatment of breast, prostate, lung, central nervous system, gastrointestinal, hematologic, gynecologic and head and neck cancers.
Dr. Torossian’s research endeavors have focused on identifying novel agents which can improve the effectiveness of radiotherapy while decreasing its toxicity. He has written many scientific, peer reviewed publication articles, book chapters and presentations/abstracts. In his free time, Dr. Torossian enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, camping, hiking and boating.
