Dr. Ahamad is an expert Radiation Oncologist in Aventura, FL., who focuses on careful communication that is centered on each patient and their other physicians. She has a rich, diverse knowledge in treating cancer, research, and teaching: with training at the classical institute, the Christie Hospital in Manchester, England, she is Faculty Alumna of the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and, more recently, the University of Miami where she also served as Clinical Director. She also has experience treating patients in community cancer clinics in the US and centers in the Caribbean.

Her works are multifaceted: she has published more than 140 works, delivered more than 130 presentations at meetings nationally and abroad to both professionals and community groups, presented more than 150 radio and television shows, and founded, chaired or advised multiple charitable organizations. She executed a free international remote second-opinion program for patients.

She serves at a national level on committees of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, The National Radiotherapy Group, Oncology, and a volunteer for American Society of Clinical Oncology. She enjoys teaming up with other expert physicians in the treatment and care of each patient and is a strong advocate for patients and colleagues.
