Overview

Alexandra Sherman, MD earned her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA. She went on to complete an internship at Carney Hospital in Boston, followed by a combined residency in Radiation Oncology at Tufts Medical Center in Boston and Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. Dr. Sherman served as a Project Leader teaching anatomy to medical students at the University of Massachusetts Medical School before entering residency. She also worked as a Research Assistant at QARC/UMASS Medical school contributing to a pediatric Hodgkin Disease trial. Dr. Sherman co-authored book chapters on various radiation oncology topics including normal tissue toxicity and breast cancer. One of her interests is improving palliative cancer care, and she completed a project in residency examining this topic.
