Mr Alireza Shoakazemi is a Consultant Neurosurgeon with sub-specialty interest in Brain tumours, Skull Base surgery and Endoscopic Pituitary surgery.
He was graduated in 2005 and completed a Neurosurgical training program in the UK. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2014. He undertook prestigious Manchester skull Base surgery fellowship in addition to other fellowship training in New York and North America.
He is currently working as a substantive consultant Neurosurgeon at Queen’s Hospital. He is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London and Lead for Undergraduate Medical Education in Neurosurgery. He has extensively published in peer review high impact Neurosurgical journals.
He has an interest in Skull Base surgery, Brain tumours, Endoscopic pituitary surgery, Vestibular Schwannoma, Trigeminal Neuralgia and other Cranial procedures. He provides Gamma Knife radio surgery treatment for intracranial pathologies at the Genesis Care Centre for Radiotherapy at Cromwell Hospital. Additionally, he treats patients with back pain, degenerative Spine, and disc disease.
