Alan graduated from Guy’s Hospital, London in 1991 and trained in Cardiology in the UK and Perth. Post-graduate studies in Interventional Cardiology were completed at the University of Otago, New Zealand.
In 2001 Alan was appointed as an Interventional Cardiologist at Fremantle Hospital and in 2014 promoted to Head of Department. He has been integral in the establishment of an emergency angioplasty service for the treatment of myocardial infarction at Fremantle and SJOGM hospitals.
Alan’s interests are in Interventional Cardiology including angioplasty, stent implantation, intravascular ultrasound, peripheral interventions, renal denervation and pacemaker insertion. He is extensively involved in clinical trials at Fremantle Hospital with a particular interest in the management of acute coronary syndromes.
Alan has appointments at St John of God Murdoch, Fiona Stanley and Mount Hospital. Alan currently consults at Murdoch, Mandurah and Kalamunda.
