Heart Failure – OPTIMIZER CCM
To evaluate the efficacy and safety of a new device using Cardiac Contractility Modulation (CCM) therapy in patients with heart failure.
To be considered for the study you must meet the following criteria:
- 40 years of age or older
- Have a diagnosis of heart failure
- Have been on stable heart failure medication for 3 months
Your participation in this study would be for approximately 2 years.
You will need to attend the clinic for an initial assessment, including medical and medication history, have blood tests, an Echocardiogram, ECG and vital status assessed.
Eligible participants will then need to go to hospital to have a medical device implanted. Follow up assessments post device implant will include clinic visits at 2,12 and 24 weeks, and then every 6 months until the end of the study. Procedures conducted at the follow-up visits may include medication and device check, blood tests, assessment of heart failure symptoms, a questionnaire, an echocardiogram, a physical exam and adverse events assessments.
You will be reimbursed for travel and study expenses.
